Mother Teresa

Born in big family, Gonxha was the original name of Mother Teresa. Going through familial troubles, she took up to be a nun and hence was known as Mother Teresa. She had the gift of being unselfish and also extend her kindness to all near here. She visioned that Jesus Christ wanted her to do more for the sake of humanity. Though a headmistress in her school, she left everything to do a formal community service in India.

Starting with simple visits to slum and tending the unwanted, she slowly set up the Missionaries with the base in Calcutta. Acknowledging the Padmashri and Nobel Prize awarded to her, she only gained more confidence to work for the needy. Rightfully called as Mother, she always had the darkness inside her to get love from the God. She always pined for the love and sought refuge in working for the poor and thereby follow Gods direction.

Her sari with the blue border, reminds us about the immense love and purity she served the human kind for. She was recognized worldwide and donations and aid helped her open base in many countries. Her Missionary has 4000 sisters, 300 brothers and more than 10,000 volunteers. Her works did make the need to consider canonization as many feel her sacrifice is worth the status of a saint.
