Taj Mahal
A monument of love, a place of peace and the matter of pride for India, Taj Mahal is really a prized structure about our heritage. The great King Shah Jahan constructed this palace for his wife Mumtaz Mahal as an ex-pression of love. The beauty of Taj Mahal lies in the detailing of architecture, marble work, impressions and the original crustings in precious stones.
The hardwork of many laborers is the sign of this magnificent palace which is completely made of marble. The queen’s tomb is also placed inside the mahal. The beauty is truly incomparable and this is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It took 22 years and much money to build such a great piece of structure.
Based on several borrowings from Persian and Islamic architecture, Taj Mahal has mainly the entrance, garden, rest room and the prayer hall as the main pieces. The four minarets blend well to form a spherical shape almost like a dome. The image of the palace on the water is another beauty. The night view of this structure emphasis the beauty of white marble even more and several tourists visit this place to capture the beauty. The view during a full moon night is a sure lucky one.
