Jataka Tales
Bhagwan Buddha is considered to be the incarnation of lord Mahavishnu. Buddha was a prince and the son of King Shuddhodhana. He attained ‘Jnana’ knowledge while he was in meditation under the shade of Bodhi Tree. Before taking birth as Bodhisatwa and had taken several births as monkeys and human forms. Many stories and tales were compiled with Buddha’s insight into the natural laws and powers governing the existence of life on earth. These stories were known as Bodhisatwa’s stories earlier and are now popular among children and adults as Jataka Tales.
